Angela’s Case Study

Angela was due to start IVF treatment and had heard Liz talk about the effects of stress on the body.

She decided to pay her a visit, not fully knowing what to expect, but was delighted with the results.

Why did you decide to see Liz?

I had met Liz on a number of occasions and found she was warm and easy to talk to. I went to one of her workshops on how constant stress can shut our reproductive systems.

I found it really informative and relevant. She provided some tips and a relaxation CD, which in itself worked wonders. I thought she had so much more to offer and decided to sign up to her course.

How do you feel about Liz’s course?

I didn’t really know what to expect and was quite nervous to begin with. But Liz put me at ease and we talked through various matters, which gave me greater clarity about what I wanted to achieve and what I wanted to change.

Liz is insightful and guided me through the process at a natural pace.

How has the course benefited you?

The IVF process can be quite stressful and all consuming. The work with Liz helped me to put things into perspective and deal with it in a much healthier, stable way.

Even during the IVF process, doctors were not hopeful and even spoke about how to approach the next round. The odds were stacked against us, but I got pregnant with the first round.

I strongly believe that having the right mind-set and reduced stress, which Liz helped to instil, greatly helped.

Liz has a very positive approach, while remaining realistic. She really cares about people and would go the extra mile – such as an encouraging message here and there outside of our sessions.

She also has a good network of connections, such as Dr Thomasina Craster who can help with the process.

I got so much more out of working with Liz than I ever could have expected. It has had numerous benefits, such as being better able to set boundaries. I am now able to comfortably say ‘no’ – at least most of the time.

I believe it has also helped improve my personal and working relationships. Close ones also commented on how I had got my ‘spark’ back.

Anything to add?

It was all quite new to me and initially took me outside of my comfort zone. But I’m so glad I took part in Liz’s course. There have been many, unexpected benefits.
